This policy sets out our privacy practices (the “Privacy Policy”) and explains how we handle the information we collect when you visit and use our site, services, mobile applications, products, and content provided by ViewsIQ, in existence now or in the future (the “Service”). We will only use, retain, and/or disclose your personal information for the reasons it was collected. This means that we will share your personal information with you for the purpose of fulfilling the Service and may share specific personal information with third parties engaged to assist us in providing the Service. Under no circumstances do we share personal information with third parties without your consent, unless there is a requirement to do so by law.

A “Device” is any computer used to access the Service, including without limitation a desktop, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, or other consumer electronic device. This Privacy Policy governs your access of the Service, regardless of how you access them, and by using the Service you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy. All of the different forms of data, content, and information described below are collectively referred to as “Data”.

In this Agreement, “Subscribers” are the staff, colleagues or team members of a ViewsIQ paying "Customer" that has granted access to the Subscriber to use the Service for the sole purpose of viewing a slide scan. “Visitors” are people who visit the ViewsIQ website (www.viewsiq.com) or Panoptiq portal (www.panoptiq.net and www.panoptiq.cn)

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before accessing or using this website, software, apps, and/or plug-ins made available by ViewsIQ or its affiliates (individually and collectively, the "Site").

1. Summary

  • We will never ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, protect our rights, or if ViewsIQ is acquired by or merged with another company.
  • You retain all rights to your subscriber data.

2. Information Collection and Usage

  • Registration – When you sign up for the Service, we ask you for information including your full legal name, your company name, a phone number and a valid email address. Our primary purpose in collecting this information is to meet our commitment to comply with State, Provincial, Federal and National health information privacy policies.
  • Inquiries – When you submit an inquiry through the Site your contact information may be stored in our secure database.
  • Profile – We may collect and store information obtained through cookies, log files, and/or third parties (e.g. Google Analytics) to create a profile of our users. The purpose of such a profile is to better understand how users access and use the Service.
  • Use of Information – We may de-personalize the information we collect, or otherwise compile derivative non-identifying information, and then use or disclose it to third parties. This information will not identify you, nor will it include any financial information. We may use or disclose such de-personalized or aggregated information for marketing, statistical, or other business purposes. By using our products and services, you consent to our disclosure of information that does not identify you.
  • Data Storage – ViewsIQ uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary server infrastructure, software, networking, storage, and related technology necessary to run the Service. Although ViewsIQ owns the code, databases, and all rights to the ViewsIQ application, you retain all rights to your Subscriber information.

3. Communications from the Site

  • Special Offers and Updates – We may occasionally send you special offers or updates (i.e. newsletters) pertaining to the Service. Out of respect for privacy, you may opt out of these types of communications at any time.
  • Service Announcements – We may occasionally send you notices of scheduled downtime or service upgrades. These communications will not be promotional in nature, and are strictly for informational purposes.
  • Customer Service – We communicate with users of the Service on a regular basis to respond to requests, inquire about experiences with the Service, and provide support.

4. Changing or Deleting your Information

  • Data Retention & Management of Information – If you are a registered Subscriber or Customer, you may review, update, correct or delete the personal information provided in your account profile. If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire to use the Service, you may update or delete it by making the change on your account settings.   • Length of Retention – We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your personal information to provide you the Service, you may delete your account by sending a request to delete your account to privacy@viewsiq.com
  • Deleting an Account – We may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Consistent with these requirements, we will try to delete your information quickly upon request. Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist after deletion. In addition, we do not delete files from our server that were shared to you by other users.
  • Business Transition – In the event ViewsIQ goes through a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition with or by another company, your information will, in most cases, be transferred to the new company.
  • Use of Information – We may de-personalize the information we collect, or otherwise compile derivative non-identifying information, and then use or disclose it to third parties. This information will not identify you, nor will it include any financial information. We may use or disclose such de-personalized or aggregated information for marketing, statistical, or other business purposes. By using our products and services, you consent to our disclosure of information that does not identify you.

5. Feedback Form and Contact Emails

When users complete a feedback form or contact us via email, it is possible for them to provide their names, organization’s name and email address. The information is used and stored only as required to process the request and to establish general statistics.

6. Changes to our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we make a change to this Privacy Policy that we believe materially changes your rights, we will provide you with notice (for example, by email). By continuing to use the Service after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
